About Us

Fisherman's Daughter was born 20 years ago when native Cape Codder Taylor Brown started making headbands to keep the hair out of her face while she shellfished. Taylor grew up in Chatham Massachusetts as the daughter of a commercial fisherman which nurtured her love of the ocean and concern for its protection. After attending Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, Taylor brought her talent right back to the community that inspired her and opened a brick and mortar shop right in the heart of the town. Today, the Fisherman's Daughter Collection has grown to offer a wide variety of women’s, men’s, and children’s original graphic screen printed tee shirts and sweatshirts all designed and drawn by Taylor herself. Keeping it local, all the graphic designs are screen printed right on Cape Cod. What started as a small idea turned into a well known and loved boutique that features a handful of other local artisans, as well as many other exciting brands from all over the country. At Fisherman's Daughter, you are sure to find a little something for everyone in your life. All styles align with current trends while making the best use of organic and eco-friendly materials, which has been her mission since day one. With the love that Fisherman’s Daughter has received we are able and proud to give back to many local charities including The Chatham Fishermen's Alliance and Monomoy Community Services. Taylor holds her BFA in Fashion Design with a concentration in 3-D fibers/textile design from the Massachusetts College of Art and owns a small business in Chatham on Cape Cod called Fisherman's Daughter Eco Boutique.
